Manufacturer Warranties
The Brick is pleased to honour manufacturers' warranties on all our products.
Furniture
The following defects are covered under the manufacturer’s first year warranty:
- Premature cracking, warping, or peeling of finish (genuine leather, bonded leather and wood)
- Electronics components
- All moving parts
- Mechanism failure
- Defective frame construction
- Faulty joints and springs
- All sleeper mechanisms (sofa beds)
- Failed stitching
- Seam separation
Accidental or incidental damage, fading, and discolouration from light or sunlight will not be covered under this one-year warranty.
Natural wear of fabrics may occur over time and are not considered defects. The foam padding in some furniture can shrink, and the outer fabric may shrink with it. This is characteristic of certain types of fabrics and will not be considered defective. Furniture provided for commercial use will not be covered under warranty.
Ready-to-assemble (RTA) products can easily be put together in your home. If your RTA product is missing any pieces, please first call the manufacturer’s number provided in your assembly instructions. The Brick will cover RTA products under its home furnishings one-year coverage. Coverage does not apply if you damage your product while putting it together or if you do not put it together correctly, resulting in damage later.
Electronics and Appliances
An authorized factory technician will repair defective item(s) within the manufacturer's warranty, according to the manufacturer's warranty coverage. For complete warranty details, see your product’s factory manual and instructions for the coverage that accompanied your product. For any manufacturer's warranty to be in effect, the product must have been used for its intended purpose through normal use in the home. Defects resulting from negligence, misuse, accidents, or commercial use are not covered under warranty.
Mattresses
All mattresses and boxsprings purchased at the Brick come with a warranty through the specific manufacturer. The Brick is happy to assist with the process required by each manufacturer should a defect in workmanship or materials occur. Please refer to your specific manufacturer’s warranty cards for coverage details and warranty claim information.
As-Is Purchases
All as-is furniture, appliance, and electronics purchases carry the same warranty as new merchandise with the exception of existing defects and/or damage on the item (such as scratches, dents, or missing pieces), which will be noted on your invoice at the time of purchase. Extended warranties can also be purchased for as-is items, but will exclude coverage of existing defects.
