Looks and works great!

Comments about KitchenAid 1.9 Cu. Ft. Convection Microwave with High-Speed Cooking - Stainless Steel:

We took a long time to decide what brand and models we would be upgrading to. This microwave was a key reason for going with Kitchenaid. I was concerned about the mounting issues mentioned by the previous poster but decided to give it a try as I am more than comfortable with the brand. The oven is supported by the top bolts and the one on the top right is not as close to the edge as the left one so if your cabinets are not ridged you may end up with a small and unnoticeable (unless you stand on a chair) gap at far right. The picture in the other post is accurate but not a concern for me. The clipped mounting bracket is just fine as it is stud supported and leveraged well.

Mounting design dissappointing

Comments about KitchenAid 1.9 Cu. Ft. Convection Microwave with High-Speed Cooking - Stainless Steel:

Just installed this to replace an old tired GE Profile that performed well over it's tenure. We just wore it out. It was a tough choice between a new GE and this KA but since we also replaced the dishwasher with a new KA we opted to keep the suite all KA ..over the range with convection was limited in choice so this was our selection..
Size is a plus but be aware the cabinet stands well out from the std kichen cabinet upper depth..like 4" past the face of the cabinet doors..
my gripe (so far) is the mounting design is ver poor..the cabinet is supported along the bottom with a narrow full wisth strip of flimsy metal with two very lightweight tabs that the cabinet hooks onto..these immediately bent from the weight and at the top the cabinet screws into the bottom of the upper cabinet in two locations but it appears to fasten into the mw cabinet case rather than frame and the weight causes the mounting points to sag..more so at the left as that point is furthur from the outside edge...very pooly engineered and imo underdesigned material wise and structurally. This causes the unit as a whole to offer little rigidity when opening ins closing the door (huge) and with time will almost certainly sag and become out of level and plumb.
As likely all products now sold much of the machine is either plastic or light weigh tin and feels cheap and flimsy..
Time will tell if the performance betters the build but my current evalutaion is the feeling of a let down from KA/Whirlpool
