I purchased this oven in March. It is the slowest oven I have ever had. It takes 12-15 minutes to preheat and the convection which would normally speed up the baking/roasting/cooking process actually takes 10-15 minutes longer than the original recipe time called for without convection. MY holiday dinner (Not done on convection) took 3 hours instead of 1.5 hours for everything to be ready and some of the potatoes were still not fully cooked when served. Though I haven't used the self clean, the stove top never stays clean looking no matter how many times a day you wipe it. It seems to retain dark spots once you scrub off a food spill for a few days after. (I used the sponge they send with the oven). The control panel requires that you press very hard to get anything working. We had service come twice. Once when we first purchased the oven because the drawer kept falling off. (Such a small drawer that the only thing that fits inside are baking sheets.) Then to see if anything was wrong with it, since the cooking times were so long. The service man was very polite. He checked everything and then informed us that this is how this oven is designed to work. There is only one fan instead of two for the convection and less elements than most ovens. I was so disappointed with this product that I again contacted whirlpool customer service. This time I was informed that there was nothing they can do since it is designed to work as it does. So I asked to speak to his supervisor and then the run around began. I was passed through 3 customer service reps one who told me they would pass me to their supervisor, and two more that told me their supervisor was the first person I had spoken to. I gave up and tried to call the executive offices in Canada and when I did, since I didn't have a name or extension number it hung up on me. I finally called the American head office and got a person who got someone from the Canadian head office to call me. After a bit of back and forth, he spouted the party line of that is how it is designed to work , but that they would refund me 15% of the cost on this one as long as I bought another Whirlpool oven. They suggested I try to sell this product. I informed them that I would never sell such a piece of junk to anyone and that 15% of what I paid is a ridiculous offer. All the customer service people were polite but had no real power to do anything to help. I am now trying to deal with my dealer, but have a feeling I am stuck with this awful oven. I would never purchase anything from this company again!!! I recommend you avoid this oven at all costs.

Very disappointed

By Paulmario

Comments about Whirlpool 6.2 Cu. Ft. Electric Range with TimeSavor™ Convection - White:

I bought this range two years ago in Nov. 2014. It's a beautiful unit that worked so well until recently. Like so many other buyers, I am now getting the infamous F8EO error code, telling me that the fan is too slow when trying to bake and everything stops. There was a time when the name Whirlpool meant quality. No longer I guess. Since the same people have the same problem, it's a manufacturing/designing error and the company should fix it. So many people having the same problem after less than two years is not normal.

VERY, VERY DISAPPOINTED

By Jocelyne

from Montreal, Qc

Comments about Whirlpool 6.2 Cu. Ft. Electric Range with TimeSavor™ Convection - White:

I bought it Nov 2014 . I used the oven, maybe 20 times, since we are snowbirds and spent 7 months in Canada. Since a few months I frequently got the F8E0 error code and I found on web that if you unplug the unit, the code disappear and it worked. But for how long .... The oven is very slow; I used Aqualift once and it's like going back to Stone Age.The glasstop very difficult to clean. This is the worst range I never had..Thinking of getting rid of it ... DO NOT BUY...

Disappointing product and customer service support

By Lindsay

from Calgary

Comments about Whirlpool 6.2 Cu. Ft. Electric Range with TimeSavor™ Convection - White:

I purchased a YWEE760H0DS0 range in October 2014 and by May 2016 it was giving me the error code F8EO and the oven would not work. I arranged for an appointment through Whirlpool but the service rep did not show up for the appointment and did not call to reschedule. I arranged for an appointment with a local company after troubleshooting it they were told by Whirlpool that I need $525 in parts (new fan and electric control board) and $300 in labour to fix the stove. The stove is less than two years old and already needs 50% of the original cost in repairs. Do not recommend to buy this stove.

Get an Extended Warranty!

By Bill

from Burlington

Comments about Whirlpool 6.2 Cu. Ft. Electric Range with TimeSavor™ Convection - White:

We bought this range about 16 months ago. It worked quite well for the first 15 months - surface and oven cooking seem good. We are quite careful and have not had any problems with the finish that seem to have happened with others. Also we have not used the Aqua Clean so cannot comment.

The big issue is that after 15 months (i.e. 3 months after the manufacturer's 1 year warranty), we received stove top message that the fan was too slow and so the oven would not work at all. It took a couple of weeks for the technician to get the part and replace it. He said this was a problem he had seen a number of times. Fortunately for us we purchased the extended warranty (about $200) or we would have been on the hook for something close to $400 for the repair. It seems to me that this is the type of defect that should not occur - there should be a longer warranty on very standard parts.

Message is that if you buy this range, make sure you get an extended warranty. This puts the price you are paying for the range up by about $200 over the advertised price.

Waste of Money

By Disappointed

from BC

Comments about Whirlpool 6.2 Cu. Ft. Electric Range with TimeSavor™ Convection - White:

Two weeks after we moved into our new home the oven and warming element quit working - electronic malfunction. Took six weeks to get a part. The aqua lift cleaning system in the oven is a joke. Doesn't even clean off the slightest of spills and I clean it after every three to four uses. It doesn't clean the oven or walls at all.

Stove top won't come clean

By Beany

from St. Pauls, Ontario

Comments about Whirlpool 6.2 Cu. Ft. Electric Range with TimeSavor™ Convection - White:

Bought this in November. Love the size of the oven. Hate the bottom drawer - doesn't close tight so everything dirty. Aqua clean - not impressed. Every time some little thing spills on the stove, have to use scrubbies, cleaning liquid, soaking with dish cloth. Still not clean.

AQUALIFT SELF CLEAN-DOES NOT WORK

By home cook

from sooke,bc

Comments about Whirlpool 6.2 Cu. Ft. Electric Range with TimeSavor™ Convection - White:

This so-called aqualift self clean technology is absolutely false advertising. If I had known at time of purchase that I had to buy distilled water, pour it into the bottom of my oven before the cleaning cycle even started, I would not have bought the darn thing. Did 3 consecutive clean cycles. End result,no change.

Scooping 2 cups of water out of the bottom of the oven afterwards with a turkey baster is real efficient.

Walk away.

Let's stand behind our product

By Jeff the Disgruntled

from Ottawa

Comments about Whirlpool 6.2 Cu. Ft. Electric Range with TimeSavor™ Convection - White:

My wife and I purchased this range 3 months ago and used it about a half a dozen times before the cooling fan broke down. The technician has to replace major components so soon. We've been without the use of this oven going on 3 weeks now, waiting for parts. God knows where they are. No one seems to know. If this product has this many problems this early on......... How about replacing the unit?
