Recently purchased all Kitchen Aid appliances for our new kitchen . Very satisfied with the performance of the range however, there are black spots forming around the burners that look like something boiled over and baked on the stainless steel range top. We installed this range less than 6 Months ago and are certain nothing ever spilled over.
We don't want to run the finish by using harsh chemicals or scouring it. So far nothing seems to work to remove these spots.

Purchased the range and matching microwave while rehabbing the kitchen.
Approximately 2-3 weeks after installing the range; the mounts for the door handle broke on one side.

We have emailed repeatedly and called repeatedly to Kitchen Aid customer service to set up a warranty service and we are getting nowhere. They simply do not respond. Waited on hold for over an hour at one point with no answer. Tried the "call back" feature and they do not call back. Once my wife called and got a human. They wanted her to email the date of purchase, which we did and included a scan of the bill of sale. Still no further response from Kitchen Aid.

At this point I'm faced with either a BBB clam or disputing through with my credit card company, which isn't fair to the small independent appliance store I bought from, but I have little other choice at this point.

Stay away. Buy another brand. I just want my oven door fixed. I should have went with GE.

The independent appliance service places wont even talk to me because its under warranty; and I can't get Kitchen Aid to respond.

Comments about KitchenAid 5.8 Cu. Ft. Five-Burner Gas Convection Range- Black:

This is our first gas stove and while it doesn't boil water as fast as an electric, it is great. We enjoy the easy control of the heat with instant on and instant off, plus the convection oven is super. This range looks great too.

Kitchen Aid Gas Range

By Trudi

Comments about KitchenAid 5.8 Cu. Ft. Five-Burner Gas Convection Range- Black:

I've had this gas range for about a week and a half. Overall I really like the stove, however, I have an issue with the burner design. I can't fault Kitchen Aid for this because all the new gas ranges I've looked at are the same. However, it is clear that the designer of the stove top doesn't cook. Why have different size burners, just make the flame easy to adjust. Secondly, why are the smaller burners in the back. I usually use the smaller burners for sauces or things to be stirred. With the present configuration, I am forced to place my arm over a hot, larger frying pan or pasta pan in order to stir whatever is on the back burner. Obviously, this places me in a position to get burned from the heat arising from the larger pan on the front. DUMB!!! Do your customers a favor and if you must have different size burners, put the smaller ones in the front.

we bought it for the convection, unfortunately the directions are spoty, and the cooking times and heat levels have not matched the same quality as the previous cheaper non-convection stove
