We bought this in the beginning of Summer, together with a refrigerator and dishwasher "Kitchen Aid" of course. I love to cook and bake and I spend a lot of time in the kitchen so my stove has to work well and it has to make my life easier too. This one does both. I love the option of five burners, even though I have tried to use them all at once and its hard to fit all the pots, so make sure that the pots are not huge in size. But is OK because is not everyday that I need to use all five burners. I love the digital features, the clock, the alarm cooking setting. The oven is amazing for baking more than one thing. It cooks evenly and I love the window feature that allows me to see while is cooking. I did not have this feature in my old stove, so its a big deal to me. It also has a warm drawer, which I have not use for warming but I am using for storage. The only set back is the cleaning the cooking racks, maybe I'm calling them by the wrong name. The black ones on top are a bit heavy so is a pain having to lift them up every day (if you're a clean freak like me) to clean the stove after cooking. But it is what it is, I'll lift. It looks amazing and everyone that enters my kitchen loves the way my appliances look. Highly recommended. Go for it!!

Oven is only 3 months old, won't light or heat up; have to turn off and retry severalties.. but the gas is flowing.. house smells of gas.. loves and kitchen aid taking turns passing off the responsibility.. I specifically LOOKED FOR A KITCHEN AID product based on my experience with my KA fridge.. Can't say enough about how I am disappointed.. and looking forward to a long relationship with repairs.. I was already asked for a credit card deposit to come and fix a BRAND NEW OVEN!!! Now lets talk about how the 5th burner skillet can't be kept on the stove as the teapot won't fit with it on.. but it is so heavy, it is a pain to constantly move or put away.. the 5th burner is a waste if it can't be used while the other burners are in use. leave the stove with 4 burners..

Love my new Kitchenaid gas range

By Elvis fan

from Pittsburgh, PA

Comments about KitchenAid 5.8 Cu. Ft. Gas Convection Range with Warming Drawer - Stainless Steel:

So many nice features. The slide out oven rack is a breeze. Kitchenaid should offer this rack in all of their ranges, really nice. The warming drive is convenient for families on the go. As this is my first convection oven, I was a little apprehensive about my Christmas baking, but all of my cookies turned out great. As mentioned in other reviews, the stove top grates are a little heavy. Smaller individual grates would have been a little easier to handle, especially for an older person. Something to keep in mind if you have arthritis in your hands/fingers. Kitchenaid may want to consider offering that option on future models.

Range knobs get very hot when oven is on

By Burnt fingers

from Westchester, NY

Comments about KitchenAid 5.8 Cu. Ft. Gas Convection Range with Warming Drawer - Stainless Steel:

I bought this range to replace another gas range. We are very dissatisfied because the knobs on the front get very hot when the oven is on. Using the broiler makes it almost impossible to use the burners because the knobs get extremely hot. Too dangerous to allow my grandchildren in the kitchen while we are cooking.

Poor design, DANGEROUS

By None

from Redding,Ca.

Comments about KitchenAid 5.8 Cu. Ft. Gas Convection Range with Warming Drawer - Stainless Steel:

Most knobs must be pushed in to turn on, this model does not ( what were they thinking), I have written a review before, but no call from Kitchenaid & I put in a complaint to the store I bought it at with no help. The microwave is above the stove & if anyone leans against the knobs they will turn and gas starts escaping. It only take the slightest move for this to happen. Came home after shopping several hours to find house FULL of gas. I shudder to think what could have happened. Then there's the other problems, 1) self cleaning doesn't work, 2) glass on oven door is not properly sealed, so in between the glass has dirty streaks that can only be cleaned by a service call, 3) have had several service calls because the oven light kept going out. 4) the surface on top is easily scratched.

Few reservations

Comments about KitchenAid 5.8 Cu. Ft. Gas Convection Range with Warming Drawer - Stainless Steel:

Not crazy about the two large grates, wish it had been broken down to three grates. Quite cumbersome for quick clean-up. Also stove top doesn't clean up very easily. Only had this a couple of months and am already seeing burnt on spots that won't clean up and I'm a person that stays on top of cleaning.

"AquaLift" doesn't work

By Bozeman Cook

from Bozeman, MT

Comments about KitchenAid 5.8 Cu. Ft. Gas Convection Range with Warming Drawer - Stainless Steel:

So much for technology. I spent two hours this morning, trying to clean my new oven. I ran the AquaLift function three times, scrubbing after each one, and my oven STILL isn't clean. Personally, I would much, much rather have an old-fashioned self-cleaning oven that burns off residue at high heat -- even if that means that the range cannot be digital. I don't need digital -- I need an oven that works, and I don't want to have to spend two hours with my head in it scrubbing just because I roasted some chicken quarters that splattered. If I could take this thing back and get a non-digital model with a true self-cleaning feature, I would!
