There are 3 oven racks, the racks are thinner but still do the trick.
There is a water basin type dent in the bottom of the oven that can hold water. It is good for soaking baked on food and/or steaming the inside of the oven. (There is an oven clean function but, really, does anyone use this?) I think it works better than a pan because I can just put some Dawn in a cup of water and soak the bottom. The oven seems huge.

The electrical panel is situated on the back ... not like my old stove which had it waist high on the front. Also, unlike my old stove, the functions take quite a bit of finger pressure to use. So much so, that the whole panel pushes back every time I want to use the Timer or any push function. Sometimes, when the timer won't engage, I have to try using thumb instead. You can't help leaving finger prints. Many times I have to push so hard to add the time that it turns itself off again. Nasty. The Timer function is just not handy. People are always pushing the bigger 'Off' button to turn the timer off. This is learnable but crumby if you are baking bread and you have helpers. The digital window for viewing the status of the timer and your baking is confusing, small and looks skimpy and cheap. I bought dollar store glasses.

There are two single function elements, a warming element and 2 dual function elements. The single function elements have H at the top right and you turn the knob completely clockwise to a specific value. However the dual function knobs have single H and dual H together at the bottom (6 o'clock) and you have to turn the knob either semi-clockwise or semi-counter-clockwise accordingly. You have to have an Action PLan to cook.
The knobs cover the signage a bit so you have to stop, and peer underneath or else, if you are in a hurry, just make a stab at it. The knobs are large, difficult to turn and lumpy and they have a child proof, hand-killing 'push to turn function' just in case a giant 2yr old reaches up and over.

I love the big window and oven. I love white. I love the warming element. I love the electrical receptacle (for hand blenders etc). I like the dent in the bottom of the oven floor. It works well. I soaked the oven for an hr and it was easy to clean. I would never use the automatic clean function anyway.

I use and really like the quick proofing function.

The salesman said we had a warming drawer at the bottom but I think it's just a shallow drawer. I don't see any warming drawer function but maybe they mean that when you are using the oven, stuff in the bottom drawer gets warm (: (: I just store a few baking tins in it since it is shallow.

I would have liked a better lighted, generous, more intuitive, friendlier electrical panel thing. This is a real deal breaker for me that I didn't think to investigate before my purchase.

Excellent Range

By Dee

Comments about KitchenAid 6.4 Cu Ft. Five-Element Electric Convection Range - White:

This new range was a 25th wedding anniversary gift from our kids, and it couldn't have been a better and more welcome gift. As an avid cook and baker of over 40 years, I can honestly say that this range more than meets my expectations. Everything I have baked in it has turned out beautifully and I no longer have to turn the food around halfway through baking time to ensure even browning. I love the large capacity oven and large window, and the five burners including two dual at the front, also the convection option which I've never had before. I find the cooktop easy to keep clean as well. This stove not only looks great in my kitchen, it does a superb job every time. I am extremely thankful for this very special anniversary gift.

I LOVE my new stove

By rpc

from Ottawa Valley

Comments about KitchenAid 6.4 Cu Ft. Five-Element Electric Convection Range - White:

We bought this stove because of the looks. We have an original 40's white kitchen so when it was time, we found this one and I loved it. I love it that it has a plug on top too. Really like the 5th element (: and use that a lot. Baking works evenly on this one. Large window is great....friendly looking.

Not happy with the operation of this range.

By DanO

Comments about KitchenAid 6.4 Cu Ft. Five-Element Electric Convection Range - White:

Bought this range in January 2014. Not happy with it's baking capability. Oven does not have even temperature from side to side. Always have to turn cookie sheets to prevent burning on the right side. Service tech inspected and said nothing can be done, thisis how they work.
