My husband and I bought this range and 4 other major appliance pieces in May 2015. We didn't receive some our appliances until August and September of 2015 - apparently because of manufacturing delays and issues in transport. Unacceptable. Secondly, after paying $12,000+ for new appliances, the oven gives off error codes (shutting down, randomly) and instead of replacing it they want to service the mother board - even after I advised that the oven does not heat evenly at all. For example: It only cooked my turkey on one side until I rotated it and that was with the convection option turned on. Nice. In addition, the edges around the top of the stove have grooves where the caulking is - which catches crumbs and grease and makes it darn near impossible to keep clean. Finally, the stainless surface on the stove, fridge, etc, are very difficult to clean. I've had 2 other Stainless fridges/appliance sets and none were as hard to clean as this one. Finger prints? Forget it, they are yours to show off on your overpriced lemons. In closing - the new dishwasher I ordered in May of 2015 is STILL not here. I would of been better of investing my money in stocks and making money on dividends instead of handing it over to be held on to, interest free, for several months, while I am left empty handed without appliances to assist me in running my household. EXTEMELY unimpressed.

Annoying features

By Simple

from toronto

Comments about KitchenAid 7.1 Cu. Ft. Slide-In Convection Range with Baking Drawer - White:

The stove has annoying features. The oven default temperature is set up at 177 Celsius. Their customer service says the default temperature cannot be changed. I never bake at 177 which means that I have to adjust the baking temperature every time I bake. The oven fan is noisy, stays on for long time after the oven is turned off. It takes 15 min to preheat the oven. Baking time for the same meal at the same temperature is double than it was with my 25 years old stove which did not have all the fancy features but baked equally good, much faster and it was silent.

Aqua Lift feature very poor

By BB

from Kamloops BC

Comments about KitchenAid 7.1 Cu. Ft. Slide-In Convection Range with Baking Drawer - White:

I bought this range a couple of months ago and the first time I used the Aqua Lift cleaning I was very disappointed. It is a step back in cleaning your oven basically manual clean. I would not have purchased had I know how misleading their description of it's ability to clean was.

Nice Range--Some Getting Used To Though

By Cookie

from Toronto, ON

Comments about KitchenAid 7.1 Cu. Ft. Slide-In Convection Range with Baking Drawer - White:

Our experience has been good -- a great looking addition to our kitchen. I am pleased to say we've had good experience especially after reading the split of ratings on this site of either Excellent or Poor. Here's some of our experience:

1. The oven takes 15 minutes to reach temperature because of the hidden elements which I now know is standard for this design among many manufacturers.
2. Using convection setting is best because otherwise oven cooks unevenly back to front -- so I'm finding a learning curve to adjust my recipes.
3. The fan continues to run for a long while after I turn the oven off -- it's not loud and it's virtually white noise. I understand the running fan protects the electronics from over-heating.

Terrible customer service experience

By Rusu

from Montreal

Comments about KitchenAid 7.1 Cu. Ft. Slide-In Convection Range with Baking Drawer - White:

I have had this range for 2 months and the cooling fan doesn't work. I'm living in a condo and no other possibilities to cook. I will be without an oven for over a month and customer service not able to send a technician in the first 10 days and after I have to wait another 10-15 days for the part and who knows when they will come to fix-it. I think there is only one technician in Montreal, or they are to busy to repair all the others products sold this year. I would not buy another kitchen-aid product. Very disappointed.

Bad and really bad experience

By MAK

from Ontario

Comments about KitchenAid 7.1 Cu. Ft. Slide-In Convection Range with Baking Drawer - White:

Got this range in January 2016. Now 4 months old. Problems after problems with circuit board making the range unusable now for over a month. Local service technician was good and prompt in attending calls making 4 visits - but could not fix it. Even worse, now - in addition to range being out of service - fan is not working, the oven lights are on now day and night and can't be switched off. My last range was Kitchenaid and bought this replacement based on my last experience. BIG MISTAKE. This one is TERRIBLE. I should have paid attention to other reviews before I bought this on impulse and looks alone. STAY AWAY from this one.

Sleek, modern and great

By Chef

from Nova Scotia canada

Comments about KitchenAid 7.1 Cu. Ft. Slide-In Convection Range with Baking Drawer - White:

Saw it in the show room and loved its appearance. Read some of the reviews ahead of time, but they seem mostly from folks who did not like the customer service and not the stove itself.

Ours works perfectly fine, love it and it looks great in the kitchen.

Terrible purchase and experience

By JL

from Ontario

Comments about KitchenAid 7.1 Cu. Ft. Slide-In Convection Range with Baking Drawer - White:

I have had this range for about 5 months and the cooling fan doesn't work. I understand these things happen but the real problem I have is how long it takes to get it fixed. My repair tech told me the replacement part is on back order. I will be without an oven for over a month in the middle of winter and customer service will not do anything other than try to locate the part in 6 business days. Then they would have to ship it and then I would have to get a service tech in... This is crazy! I would not buy another kitchenaid product. We also had to wait almost two months for a fridge on back order and the worst part is that customer service seems to think this is acceptable. I totally disagree. Very disappointed.

Disappointing: brand new oven failed after 3 months

By julieee

from BC

Comments about KitchenAid 7.1 Cu. Ft. Slide-In Convection Range with Baking Drawer - White:

The cooling fan in the oven failed after less than three months of use. Even though we phoned in the error code to the Kitchen Aid dealer as soon as we could, it's going to be three weeks before we will have a working oven (assuming all goes well with next week's service call).

This range was delivered in October 2015, but we did not start to use it until November 2015 because we were renovating our kitchen and it is now the end of January 2016.

This is not the "flawless cooking result" that I was looking for when I bought this range.

On the plus side, the cooktop is good and the temperature controls work well, though I do find it difficult to keep the cooktop looking like new.

The range is nicely designed and looks good in the kitchen.
