Comments about Sofia Vergara Enzo Dining Chair:
I bought eight of these chairs with the matching table. I thought it looked marvellous and the chairs were fairly comfortable too. We bought it the same day we saw it, and paid extra for an extended warranty.
THEN CAME THE TROUBLE.
I'd paid for home delivery, set-up, and waste removal; which I was assured meant they would fully assemble my purchase, and remove ALL packaging and waste. When the delivery guys eventually left, they didn't install the glass top to the table (left inside its box so we didn't inspect the glass until after they left), nor did they take away all the plastic and cardboard the chairs were wrapped it. "Oh it just comes right off", they assured me. [Something I've come to learn about The Brick staff, is that they will happily lie to you often, just to placate you until they can get out of dodge.]
HERE'S THE PROBLEM:
The chairs all come with cellophane-like plastic wrap on the seat cushions, which you wouldn't think would be a problem ("it just comes right off", after all), except that the plastic is stapled to the underside of the cushion. The only way to get ALL the packaging off would be to remove the entire seat, carefully peel off the wrap, and reassemble it. Well, I'm not comfortable doing that myself, so I called The Brick and asked what they could do for me. I spoke to a young woman who said that because my shipment still showed in their system as 'on truck' she couldn't do anything today, but could scheduled a service team sometime tomorrow (another lie).
Well the next day comes and guess what? NO CALL. I call them, and guess what? "Oh, I'm sorry, she must be new here. We don't do anything like that. You'll just have to fix it yourself. Also, the extended warranty you purchased doesn't cover seat cushions."
ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?
This is how you treat people who spend THOUSANDS of dollars on your products!?
So now I'm left with chairs that, if I rip off as much of the plastic as I can, still look like garbage because of the plastic sandwiched between the cushion and chair.
LONG STORY SHORT:
1 Don't believe anything The Brick tells you before they actually have your money.
2 Get everything in writing, and read it fully before paying.
3 If you've paid for setup + garbage removal, don't sign the bill until it's ALL done!
If I can't get this fixed, I doubt I'll ever buy from The Brick again.
