Materials and Construction
Wood: Medium Density Fibreboard (MDF) and Poplar
Medium density fibreboard (MDF) is an engineered product constructed of thin layers of wood or veneers that are glued together to make furniture inherently stronger. It is highly durable, inexpensive and helps extend furniture life. Meanwhile, poplar is a strong, durable wood that seasons well and resists warping once it is completely dried. It has a uniform texture, and is a light to medium weight that is very strong and stable. Its straight grain has an even texture, producing a smooth look and feel.
Finish: Hand-Painted Pine Veneers
Veneers are created by cutting a thin layer of wood and laying it on top of construction-grade material, which provides a remarkable wood texture and finish to furniture. As an added benefit, veneers won’t warp, crack or split over time and often create unique markings on the furniture’s finish. Meanwhile, paint provides a layer of protection for your furniture and allows for versatile decorating options.
Finish Colour: Black and White
This black and white finish boasts classic elegance while enhancing the modern feel of the piece.
