OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES (the “Rules”)

  1. GENERAL

              

  • This Contest shall be conducted by The Brick Warehouse LP (“The Brick”), for customers to enter at all Brick stores across Canada, including Quebec.  An entrant shall be referred to as “You” or “Your”. 

  

-      No purchase is necessary in order to participate in this Contest.  

How to Enter:

  1. Between the dates of October 19-23, 2020, fill out the reservation form at https://www.thebrick.com/reservation  (English site) or https://www.brickenligne.com/reservation (French site) to make an appointment for October 22 or 23, 2020 (“Reservation Form”).
  1. If You finalize a sale of product purchased at The Brick on October 22 or 23, 2020, using any payment method, you will be automatically entered to win Your purchase.  

2.           ELIGIBILITY

To be eligible to win Your Purchase, You must: a) be a Canadian resident; b) have completed a Reservation Form and kept Your appointment on October 22 or 23, 2020 (or be the author of a written essay); c) have made a purchase at any Brick store across Canada during the Contest Dates (or be the author of a written essay); d) have kept Your purchase at the time of the Draw Date e) have reached the age of majority in the province or territory in which You reside as of on or before the date of Your Purchase, and; f) not be an employee of, or living with an employee of The Brick Warehouse LP.  You agree to abide by all federal, provincial and municipal laws and the contest rules as set out herein. Contest is void where prohibited or restricted by law. The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial, and local laws and regulations. 

3.           GRAND PRIZE 

 

 

4.           DRAW PROCEDURES

On the Draw Date, a representative from The Brick’s corporate office will pull all Point-of-Sale sales data from October 22 and 23, 2020, combined with the essay submissions, and will make two (2) random, computerized draws from all eligible entries.  The first entry drawn will be the Eligible Winner.  The other entry drawn will be a back-up entry (“Alternate Winner”) in the event the Eligible Winner cannot be contacted or fails to complete the skill testing question.

 

A representative from Corporate Office will use his/her reasonable efforts to contact the Eligible Winner by phone or e-mail after the Draw Date.  If the Eligible Winner cannot be reached by telephone or has not contacted The Brick within three (3) business days of The Brick leaving messages to do so (“Contact Date”), then that person will be disqualified and The Brick will contact the Alternate Winner until one person has been confirmed as the Grand Prize Winner.

 

5.           DECLARING THE PRIZE WINNER / VERIFICATION PROCESS

  • An Eligible Winner whose name has been selected on the Draw Date must:

 

  1. Be over the age of majority in the Province in which they reside; 
  1. Within three (3) business days following the Contact Date, correctly answer a time-limited, arithmetical skill-testing question without the assistance of any person or mechanical/recording device(s).  The skill-testing process shall be administered at a pre-arranged time and place; 
  2. Execute a declaration and release form confirming compliance with the Official Contest Rules and acceptance of the Prize; and
  3. Should any Eligible Winner fail to answer the skill-testing question correctly or is unable to attend at the time and place designated by The Brick for the administration of same, that Eligible Winner shall be disqualified and the skill-testing question shall be administered to the next Alternate Winner. 

 

6.           ADDITIONAL TERMS

 

By participating, You agree that: a) these Official Contest Rules and The Brick’s records of the draw or any other aspect of this contest shall be final and conclusive in all respects; and b) release, discharge, indemnify and hold harmless The Brick and its trustees, directors, officers, and employees from any liability, claims, damages, demands, actions, or causes of action whatsoever which You, Your heirs, successors, assigns, executors, or administrators may now or hereafter have directly or indirectly against them or any of them in respect of or relating to the Contest and/or the acceptance or use, misuse, or possession of any prize.

 

7.           LIMITATION OF LIABILITY 

 

The Brick shall not be responsible for print or typographical errors in any Contest-related materials; for transactions that are posted late or incorrectly or are lost due to computer or electronic malfunction. The Brick reserves the right to amend or vary the Official Contest Rules, including the imposition or addition of new rules which are deemed by The Brick in its sole discretion necessary for business efficacy.

The Brick will use the contact information provided in contest entries for administration of this Contest and/or to ascertain Your needs and market to You.
